Wnery Notes - "The name Rod & Spur acknowledges the contribution of our growers who spend the cold Barossa winters hand pruning their vines in the traditional rod and spur method. This wine is a return to the great Australian reds of the 1950's and 60's, when Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon blends dominated the premium market. This very Australian blend is not common in other wine regions of the world."

"When life gives you yuzu..." make a Yuzucello spritz - at least that's what the gang at Beechworth Bitters tells us. Their Yuzucello is an aroamtic citrus liqueur that packs an intense Yuzu punch with bright floral scents and a refreshingly bittersweet finish. Made from fruit grown in the Ovens Valley, North East Victoria.

Producer Notes - "2024 was the third cool year in a row at Gembrook. However warm weather in February at the end of the growing season ensured perfect ripeness. Due to the very low yields resulting from poor weather at flowering, the decision was taken not to produce an IJM or JKM cuvee. Of the eight barrels of Pinot Noir made, the best wine produced was when all were present in the blend. The result, a superbly elegant yet complex … more

Some of the oldest Bloody Hill vines. Garnet red in colour with a nose of dark sweet cherry, fresh lovage, and smoke. Sweet strawberry and cherry fruit on the plate immediately followed by savoury, meaty umami notes. Very fine tannins and good length.

Winery Notes "Upon arrival at the winery, hand-picked fruit is destemmed without crushing and elevated into small open fermenters. Fruit remains un-inoculated for 2-3 days and when fermentation is observed, a cultured yeast is added. Depending on the season, a percentage of fruit may be left as whole bunches and fermented separately to the destemmed fruit and blended back into the finished wine. During fermentation, must temperatures peak at around 32°C and the cap is plunged or pumped-over up to … more

Alta offers an intense golden colour with light shades of green. The nose is rich and full-flavored, with vibrant citrus fruit and attractive minerality. On the palate, a smooth sweet entry leads to an unctuous, fresh wine, packed with ripe fruit and subtle vanilla. The finish is long and lingering, with crisp, well-balanced acidity.

Having been used for viticulture for over 3000 years, this Estate certainly has got the art of Chianti mastered. This wine, their entry level, is a stunning example of Sangiovese. Light, fresh and crisp, with sour cherries, leather and spices. The Sangio tannins take hold and embrace your tongue making this a great wine to match with food.

The fruit for the Springflat comes from four sites; 60% of which comes from our northern vineyards, 40% from the south at Mia Mia. Dark crimson in colour - if one wine represents a snapshot of the whole vintage, this is it. There are delightful red fruit aromatics of raspberry and strawberries, along with some briary cigar box and undergrowth characters. The palate has a nervous energy of natural acids, with opulent red fruits and forest floor flavours. The Springflat … more

Louis Roederer make great Champagnes, starting with this one and climbing to the legendary Cristal. They are also pioneers in transparency, providing far more information about the makeup of their wines than is typical of other Champagnes. This blend is released from the 246th year of the House's operation, hence the name. As with the previous release, the NV blend is made of 55% 5yo (2021) fruit, 35% from the 'perpetual reserve' and 10% from oak-aged base wines from as … more
