Disgorged March 2019. Terroirs is produced from only great sites and is 100% Grand Cru. The fruit comes from four villages in the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry. The vines average 40 years of age, and Agrapart uses around 40-50% reserve wine. After a natural fermentation, half of the wine is matured in large format, neutral oak and then spends up to 48 months on lees. Dosage is limited to 5 g/L and disgorgement is carried out … more
Disgorged May 2019. This is a very special wine from a very special plot of dirt. It comes from one-third of a hectare of vines in the renowned Avize vineyard called La Fosse. The vines here were planted in 1959 so they are extremely old by Champagne standards. It's therefore a single parcel cuvée made in tiny quantities each year. The wine is named after the Boulonnais mare, Vénus, that first ploughed the vineyard. Apart from being ploughed by horse, … more
100% Pinot Noir from Clouet's best plots, dubbed by Jean-Francois Clouet "the golden square of Bouzy".
It is 50% current vintage fermented in old Sauternes barriques & 50% solera reserve wine - the estate's best reserve wines dating from 2001. The wine ages sur lie in bottle for a number of years before it receives a low 6-grams per liter dosage.

100% Pinot Noir.
I just can't get enough of it - especially at this price. The Andre Clouet grande reserve brut is a delicious wine made from 100 per cent pinot noir with all the richness and definition that variety offers. There's plenty of fine bead, red fruits mingled with citrus, and earthy, warm spice (think star anise and cinnamon), zesty and dry on the finish. It builds on the palate and is quite voluptuous, almost full- bodied for champagne, … more
'I say 10% of the blend is from my blood!' declares Jean-Francois Clouet, who has changed the style of his family's rose to a fresher and more direct mood, not so soft, aiming for the lively impression of malic acidity, even though it goes through full malolactic fermentation. The result is a rose that epitomises elegance and focus, in the midst of the generous red fruits that characterise Bouzy and Ambonnay. The cuvee encapsulates that wonderful talent of pinot noir … more
Described by the winery as if the Champagne were snow, downy and delicate with powdery fresh effervescence. The zero dosage style here is realised in in the purity of expression in the wine. The nose is rich and toasty with touches of both fresh strawberries and dried apples, a beautiful expression of Pinot Noir as it evolves in Champagne. Structured, full and balanced on the palate.
100% Pinot Noir from Grand Cru vineyards in Bouzy.
Producers Notes - "Pinot Noir does not mature directly, in linear fashion.
Upon reaching its 6th year, it passes into a phase known as "The Whirlwind"
Propelled by an unseen force it reaches outward, taking on another dimension.
The wine becomes charged with energy and vibrations.
It glows... and becomes transcendent!
Deep, bright, effervescent... Taking off and on approach to Celestial Harmony.
As you taste it, prepare yourself to be launched … more
Of the Grande Marque houses Billecart has definitely been a store fav for a long time. Making a mid-weight, clean style of Champagne that has started many a party, dinner or celebration.
One of the longest exponents of the Champagne Rose style, Billecart are also one of the best. Possessing the lovely red cherry and rose petal aromas the palate has sufficient weight and acidity to make this wine pleasingly linger on your tongue long after swallowing.
The NV Brut Rosé, which was first introduced in 2008, offers classic, slightly tertiary notes of spiced cherries, dried strawberries, and rose petals. Clean, crisp, and chiseled on the palate, it’s much more firm and tight than the Special Cuvée, yet has a great finish, impeccable balance, and bright acidity. A blend of 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Meunier, with 30% vinified in barrel, it spent 30 to 36 months on lees. Give it a year … more
