Fine and polished nose - floral, figgy and little meaty, it's a delicate and perfectly varietal expression of Monastrell. Soft, wide tannins start the palate off, while bright acidity brings it home. Almuvedre has long been one of our favourite Spanish drops under $50, the style-quality-value amalgam continues to amaze

A labour of love from Telmo Rodriguez, the 2014 was the first of several vintages they vinified that they were willing to release to public. It was clearly worth the wait because within each bottle is some quintessential Rioja ready to draw you in. The vines are located in an amphitheatre near the village of Labastida, mainly Tempranillo with some Graciano, Mazuelo and a smattering of other local varieties. Clay, wild raspberries, lavender and wild herbs waft up from the … more

This Down the Hill Pinot selected from our Coolart Road vineyard is powerful but incredibly elegant and fine with fruit compote and hints of toasted fennel and rosemary which provides a layered, complex and brooding style of Pinot Noir. Satsuma plum, cherry, cranberry sauce and fine chewy tannins fill the palate and linger for some time. - Winery Notes

'Stone fruit of white nectarine paired with baked lemon tart and cinnamon spice. This is a wine that delivers minerality and complexity with a creamy marscapone edge thrown in the mix. Fresh, long and complete with a soft phenolic grip that lingers for some time.' - Winemakers Note

An elegant floral nose, scents of lime, apple and mushroom. Lean and complex on the palate, fine acid with stone fruit flesh and a dry finish.
"Being one of the first on the scene in Etna imparted Marco de Grazia with insights into the region that few others possess. Because of this, he's been able to grow the Tenuta delle Terre Nere portfolio by leaps and bounds over the last 20 years while staying ahead of the curve the entire way.": Eric Guido, Vinous.com 2024

This is an exceptionally elegant Barolo with great depth. It shows strawberry and raspberry, as well as lifted floral notes on the nose. It has balanced acidity and freshness, delivering cherry, spice and delicious savoury undertones, with fine, well-structured tannins. The fruit comes from the south-west-facing portion of the Montanello Cru. Fermentation and maceration take 25 days and then it is aged in
only 2500 litre Slavonian oak botti for 24 months before being aged further in bottle.

The estate is home to the world-class wine that started the Super Tuscan movement - Sassicaia.
"The wine was created for two reasons: first of all, the desire to see what we could accomplish with Merlot, a grape that we had never used before; second, the desire to offer the consumer a wine which could be appreciated at a younger age compared to our veteran Sassicaia." - Nicolo Incisa, Director of Tenuta San Guido

Producer Notes - "This is our sixth release from the volcanic soils of Whitfield in the King Valley. A mild summer resulted in the good acid levels for which Aligoté is renowned. Picked at around 11.5 baumé, de-stemmed before spending 12 hours skin contact. Pressed and then sent to oak for fermentation. Natural ferment took around six months to complete (our cellar gets seriously cold in autumn!). Racked to the tank in January before being prepared for bottling. Herbal, nutty, … more
