Pietradolce Etna Rosso DOC 2023
100% Nerello Mascalese from a single vineyard near the village of Castiglione di Sicilia. These are from younger vines, only 40-50 years old! Aged mostly in steel with a short passage in old barrels, this is bright and juicy with red fruits, the palate pleasingly tannic and refreshing with classic mineral notes of Nerello from Etna.

Pirie Sparkling NV
Pirie Non Vintage Northern Tasmania is widely recognised for the quality of sparkling wine produced in the true cool climate of 41-42°S. Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo Colonnello 2016
The Poderi Aldo Conterno 2016 Barolo Bussia Colonnello shows dark fruit intensity, dried cherry, spice, licorice and tilled earth. The wine delivers its aromas in a direct and immediate manner, with menthol and balsam herb fitting into oaky aromas of sweet spice. For whatever reason, I notice the oak more in Colonnello, but this will relax with time. The wine will be ready to drink after the 10-year mark.
