A very beautiful intense dark colour. The slightly woody nose has aromas of very ripe fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, prune). The mouth opens with an explosion of flavours (candied fruits, vanilla, subtle aromas of brioche) and a finish of great length, worthy of the greatest Bordeaux vintages! It is all finesse and elegance.
"It's grown at about 300 metres above sea level on vines that are now nearly ten years old. It now comes in a proprietary 'King Valley' prosecco bottle, which is lovely to see - a real sign of confidence/harmony for the region. Reckon they are bang on with this release. It's fine and crisp but not at all lacking in flavour. Red apples galore. Some bready complexity. More than an ounce of finesse. More-ish lisp of fruit sweetness. Tick tick … more

According to the history books, the Costanti family has been producing wine in Montalcino since the 16th century. The current Costanti, Andrea - former President of the Brunello consorzio, multi Wine Spectator Grand Award Winner and scuba diver - assumed control in 1983 from his uncle Count Emilio. He was freshly graduated from Siena University with a geology degree and, while some may have thought Emilio a hard act to follow, Andrea set to the task with a will and … more
"You would have to scour the seven seas to find a more versatile drink, so go ahead – ignite the spark for libations.
It is said that as shrapnel tore through the ocean, the guns that fired it induced timely labour. Sailors born this way would forever be known as a ‘SON OF A GUN’. Deep and complex, this spirit is hand crafted in small batch stills at Chatham Dockyard and remains today an irreverent spirit.

Importers Notes - "This is once again a testament to Nico's unwavering belief that his Bourgogne is the most important wine in his stable (not a quip about the fact that part of the cellar is indeed an old stable). Sourced from old vines, the average age is around 70 years now. The wine shows uncommon depth of material for its appellation. Richly textured and supple with plenty of darkly fruited and wonderfully appealing character. It becomes a good degree … more
Beautiful wine from Isabelle & Jean-Yves Vantey who farm 6ha of biodynamic vineyards in Maranges, Santenay, and the Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune. This wine is a testimony to the inspired farming practices employed at the domaine. Delicate floral aromatics meet sour cherry, mineral rich soil and earthy forest floor. Tannins are fine and chalky, with a focus and purity to the palate that is effortlessly delicious.
A new cuvee from dynamo Thibault Liger Belair, comprised of Gamay from Moulin-a-Vent in Beaujolais and Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits. The name 'les Deux Terres' (the two lands) is a nod to the two origins, Thibault describes as a marriage 'between Beaujolais and Bourgogne, and Gamay and Pinot Noir'. It is mostly Gamay, with just 15% Pinot Noir, and offers a nose of cool black cherries, raspberries and liquorice. There is a good energy to the wine, … more

100% Tempranillo from the renowned Rioja region in Northern Spain, this wine offers a delicate touch of oak, soft savoury notes and light tannins. Vibrant in style and softly structured, it is a fantastic food wine.
A single vineyard expression from an organically farmed vineyard sitting at 600m above sea level, the vines are 30 years old and the finished wine is, simply put, bloody good. Concentrated black fruits with notes of rosemary and honey and an earthy rich character we could almost describe as tar, and yet somehow, despite this complexity of flavor the wine is still refined and elegant, soft on the palate with subtle, well integrated tannin.

100% grown from Escarpment’s Te Muna Road site.
The summer allowed a smaller crop than usual to ripen slowly, producing powerful opulent flavours and a flinty mineral backbone which combine beautifully with barrel fermentation to create Burgundian inspired Chardonnay. Flavours are reminiscent of white stone fruit with delightful soft texture ensuring a long commanding finish. Partial malolactic fermentation and lees stirring has enhanced the texture, complexity and mouth feel allowing it to match most entrée dishes and seafood.
