Producer Notes - "Each year Muscat grapes are havested at high sugar levels. This wine is then transferred into barrels and casks of different volumes (generally for anything between 2 and 5 years for this Rutherglen classification). These parcels are then blended to produce youthful, fresh wines some some complexity and concentrated flavours. The Pfeiffer Rutherglen Muscat is a fine example of this classifiction and displays floral and raisin fruit and a rich, … more

TROPHY - Best Apera - Rutherglen Wine Show 2023
Producer Notes - "An apera can be enjoyed as the sun goes down and it is the ideal way to 'open up' the appetite in preparation for a meal. It is the perfect pre-dinner drink to share over a light bite, in the company of friends and sometimes can last longer than dinner itself! An apera can be elegant and dry or fruity and fragrant. An apera can even be muddled … more

Soave, in Italian, means gentle, soft, suave - an appropriate name for this small town east of
Verona, encircled by the original enclosures of the town and dominated by a 13th century fortress.
At the heart of the Classico zone is the Pieropan property, which dates back to 1890. Their Classico is mostly Garganega with about 10-15% Trebbiano di Soave, this is wonderfully aromatic - not a

Gaillard has captured that perfect balance of hedonistic opulence and mineral refreshment in a way that only Condrieu can produce. His pared back winemaking style provides the perfect canvas for the wine to paint its own picture on, one of ripe yellow peaches, summer honeysuckle blossoms and fragrant spice.

"Dark red robe. The bouquet has a comfortable depth, with the promise of opening and variety; there is a mass of black berry fruits for now. The palate has a suave tone, a cosy middle, carries gourmand appeal, the fruit on mixed red and black berries, a spur of freshness in the ferrous tannins. It's wild in a good way on the second half, has character, the length nicely sustained. From late-2024." John Livingstone-Learmonth, Drink Rhône

Tense, edgy and savoury on release, it’s blossomed with a further six months in bottle into a merry celebration of the freshness of Cuis, the quintessential apéritif and one of the most pristine champagnes for its price. Freshness and purity of lemon and crunchy nashi pear are well toned by the texture and complexity of bottle maturity, lending bready, biscuity nuances and drawing out notes of white pepper and anise. The fine salt chalk minerality of the village is energised … more

A precise, crystalline wine, the NV Brut Cuvée de Réserve is the perfect wine with which to explore the Péters Champagnes. Lemon peel white, flowers and slate are super-expressive throughout in a Champagne that impresses with its finely-sculpted personality and energy. The Cuvée de Réserve is quite powerful, but never heavy. Slightly tropical overtones add the final shades of nuance. The Cuvée de Réserve draws on fruit sources outside Mesnil. It remains one of the best values in artisan Champagne.

Supplier notes - "This also combines the very best examples of Sancerre's three soil types: Terres Blanches, a soft, chalky-clay soil, unique in the Sancerre area producing full-bodied rich wines; Caillottes, a pebbly-chalk soil yielding fine and fruity wines; and Silex, a flinty soil producing wines of great verve and openness."

Stelvin.
Les Griottes means "small cherries"; exactly the kind of fruit character that you will find in spades in this juicy wine. Produced from 15-35 year old vines grown on dark granite soil in Saint Vérand area (of Southern Beaujolais), here we have yet another convivial, lip-smacking, ultra pure stunner from this benchmark grower that La Revue du Vin de France recently described as "...a reference for 30 years."
