"The 2021 Bolgheri Superiore Guado al Tasso is a very beautiful wine, but also quite a departure from the style that made it famous years ago. Readers will find an especially polished Guado al Tasso, a wine that emphasizes finesse more than power. Silky tannins wrap around a core of black cherry fruit, licorice, spice, mocha and new leather. Bright, saline undertones extend the exquisite finish. There's more Cabernet Franc in … more

Marionette Bitter Curaçao is all about the fruit. Seville oranges bring a taste of the Mediterranean by way of Mildura, delivering luscious, candied orange flavours - bitter and warming all at once. Cacao, pomelo, and orange pith are first up on the nose, the warm earthy notes making way for a palate of raspberries and violets. Sherbety citrus shines, alongside peppery spice and a zip of herbal bitterness. This is the bitter aperitivo your negronis have been waiting for.

Ribena for grown-ups! Tarter than traditional cassis, our Dry Cassis delivers the classic juicy punch of ripe blackcurrants with around half the sugar content of the French original. This is balanced by an acidity that brings a refreshing zing to all things bubbly. Perfect for Kir Royals, Kir Biers, Kir Normands & punch.

"Note: a monopole that measures 2.15 ha
A distinctly cooler nose is composed by aromas of red currant, cherry and a broad array of spice and floral wisps. There is outstanding intensity to the racy, well-detailed and strikingly stony medium weight flavors that deliver superb persistence and even more minerality on the balanced and wonderfully refreshing finale. This is also very classy juice and should age well for years." 93-95, Tasted: Apr 10, 2019, Drink: 2033+, Issue: 78 - Don't … more

Amarone in the product of the ancient wine-making method called "appassimento" (drying of the grapes). At the end of September to the beginning of October, the best clusters of grapes from the hillside vineyards are picked and placed on bamboo racks. The grapes are then left to dry for 48 hours in rooms with controlled atmospheres (controlled humidity and forced ventilation) and then in large rooms in the old farmhouses in the hills until about the middle of January. Distributor notes "First produced in 1911, the fruit for Massolino's classic cuvée comes from seven hectares of prime-sited Serralunga vineyards. The most important of these-Briccolina, Collareto, Broglio and Le Turne-are dotted around the town itself; Le Turne borders Margheria, while Collareto lies next to Vigna Rionda. We are talking quality real estate. The 2021 also includes a little fruit from Massolino's Parussi Cru as well as some declassified Vigna Rionda! Vine age varies from 10 to 55 years. Half of … more

The Margheria vineyard is one of Serralunga's most important and illustrious sites. The Massolino family bought their first parcel here in 1964, and the remainder came online during the '70s. The current holding is 1.5 hectares. Sitting at 280 metres above sea level, Margheria is a very chalky vineyard with a good percentage of sand (which brings elegance), while the high calcium carbonate content brings vibrant, mineral energy to the natural depth of Serralunga.
As with all three 2019 Crus, … more

Vigna Rionda is historically the most revered vineyard of Serralunga and the source of some of the greatest, finest and most long-lived Barolo. The Massolino family are the largest holders in this Cru with 3.5 hectares of Vigna Rionda vines, aged between 40 and 50 years old. On some of the oldest soils of Barolo, there is very little topsoil here, with a high concentration of limestone, oxidised iron and other mineral elements. The altitude is also 300 metres above … more
