Beautiful, already intense, golden colour. The nose presents a delicate woodiness followed by notes of honeysuckle and acacia flowers. The palate rapidly becomes full-bodied and generous, mingling notes of residual sugar and freshness. The fruit is discreet but the balance is perfect. The finish is long and lingering, accompanied by a hint of bitterness, that helps to enliven the flavours.

"The 2015 Rieussec is gorgeous. Scents of apricot jam, honey, mint and wild flowers lift from the glass. Delicate and gracious, with terrific freshness, the wine is all polish. Reflecting both the style of the year and the desire to make a slightly lighter Sauternes, the 2015 is rendered in a style that emphasizes finesse over power. The blend is 86% Sémillon and 14% Sauvignon Blanc." 97 Points, Antonio Galloni Vinous.com

The seven plots of Côte de Brouilly that this wine comprises of all lie on the east, south, and west flanks of Mont Brouilly. An assemblage of seven Thivin parcels - fruit from the plots of; La Chapelle, Clos Bertrand, Brulhies, Utopia, L'Heronde, Henri and Les Fournelles. The soils are dominated by the "blue stone" (Metadiorite), stonier for the highest plots and more clayey for those nearer the foot of the hill. The 2018 Côte de Brouilly is still a … more

Château Tronquoy-Lalande, situated in the heart of the appellation, is one of the oldest Saint-Estèphe wines. It takes its name from François Tronquoy, the estate's first owner, and the place-name La Lande, meaning the heath, on which the Château’s historic vineyard is planted.
The result of a great deal of hard work and a certain degree of risk-taking at harvest-time, 2012 ranks among the estate's excellent vintages in … more

Crafted by celebrated winemaker Jim Chatto, Lutruwita is a true Tassie blend celebrating all there is to love about Tasmanian Pinot. Paying homage to its home state, the name Lutruwita is the palawa kani name for Tasmania.
Bright red and black fruits, all the florals, intense yet elegant coupled with wonderful length and purity.
'The Barolo Cannubi is absolutely gorgeous in 2017. Hot and brutally dry conditions notwithstanding, the Cannubi is creamy and sensual in the glass, with impeccable balance, soft, racy edges and tons of allure. It is easily one of the most sensual, compelling Barolos of the year. Ripe dark red/purplish fruit, spice, mint and cedar meld into the beautifully textured, resonant finish. I am so impressed with the wine's freshness. Perhaps the anti-hail netting helped keep some shade on the fruit. … more

'The 2017 Barolo Via Nuova is stellar. In 2017, the Via Nuova is a bit nervous, the sign of a Barolo that is going to need a number of years to unwind. Bright red-toned fruit, chalk, crushed rocks, mint and white pepper add pretty aromatic top notes. As always, the Via Nuova is the most taut Barolo in the range. Via Nuova is a blend of seven vineyard sites; Terlo, Paiagallo and Liste (in Barolo); Ravera and Mosconi (in Monforte); … more

From Chrismont's Mediterranean inspired range, comes their deliciously textural Arneis, A sometimes fussy grape to cultivate, it flourishes in the dry heat of the King Valley. Crunchy freshness and a wash of acidity pair nicely with generous fruit character on the palate.

Another great addition to Chrismont's range of Mediterranean wines! This juicy Barbera is punching well above its price in terms of quality. Plump and plush, mulberries wrapped in layers of soft, heady spice notes and tart acidity that will leave your glass empty and your mouth watering.

"It's grown at about 300 metres above sea level on vines that are now nearly ten years old. It now comes in a proprietary 'King Valley' prosecco bottle, which is lovely to see - a real sign of confidence/harmony for the region. Reckon they are bang on with this release. It's fine and crisp but not at all lacking in flavour. Red apples galore. Some bready complexity. More than an ounce of finesse. More-ish lisp of fruit sweetness. Tick tick … more

Chrismont has long realized the potential of Pinot Grigio as a variety to excite the palates of Australian wine drinkers, and boasts some of the most established vines in the King Valley. What makes their Pinot Grigio style so distinctive is the decision of when to harvest, selecting fruit just at the point of developing crisp green apple and honeydew melon scents. It's dry, fresh and eminently drinkable - just what we want in a Pinot Grigio.

Importers Notes - "While the Pays d'Auge Calvados requires prolonged aging in oak barrels to flourish, a Calvados produced from apples and pears, and distilled in a column still, offers an aromatic universe dominated by fruit, palatable. from an early age. For this reason, CHRISTIAN DROUIN preferred to offer for "entry-level" a Calvados partly produced in the establishment he operates in Domfront. This calvados derives its originality from the high percentage of perry pears used in conjunction with cider apples. … more

Blueberry, tobacco and hung beef - it's gotta be Ribera! Well, good Ribera anyway ...With a pronounced earthiness, cool and precise in line, low in fructose, elegant and fine. Not a wine of bigness, it's a lovely, pure wine of very high quality and beautifully composed. Dark cherry fruit specked with tobacco melds into a fine tannin line which itself seems indivisible from fruit and also from earth and is wired on steely minerals and fine natural acidity.
