Yes, it's true - the 2024 Halliday Wine Guide is out and Sutton Grange's humble Fairbank rosé scored a whopping 97 points. We're feeling a little smug about it. Having stocked the wine for many a vintage, we've known for a while that its a knock out! Dry, fresh and textural, this rosé gives boatloads of charm, with scents of honeydew melon, pink lady apples and aperol spritz on a summer's day.

"What a follow-up to the remarkable 2018 debut. The high perfumed notes strike immediately and almost define what is to follow. It's a very pretty wine with more seductive perfumed notes than the 2018, most likely a result of the slightly cooler vintage. There is about 12 per cent Mourvèdre in the blend and all the fruit comes off the Swinney bush vines. Only large-format seasoned oak has been used. A striking wine of refinement and power that delivers with … more

Producer Notes - "Each year I source and select grapes from a different single vineyard in the Heathcote region, therefore each year the wine will have a different name to reflect the vintage."
"The Syrahmi wines are nothing if not complex. This is meaty, spicy, floral and no doubt more, its plum-shot heart surrounded by all manner of goings on. Floral notes sit high in the wine, as do smoked meat characters and sweet cedar. It's a hell … more

Producer Notes "The 2018 Syrahmi La La is our eighth release - coming from an outstanding vintage that had good fruit set, producing grapes with lovely colour and intensity. The grapes were hand picked in the Greenstone vineyard, which is set on 550 million year old Pre-Cambrian era soils at 200m elevation, and fermentation took place with 100% whole bunch, wild yeasts and hand plunging. The wine then aged in 100% new 600L Stockinger barrel for 50 months (the longest … more

Far and away the best value offering from Syrahmi, this is a great example of modern Heathcote at the fraction of the price of some of the greats. Excellent fruit, handled gently and framed with restrained oak. The wine is darkly purple and blue fruited, with sumptuous acidity and a fresh turned earth mineral quality to the finish.

Tahbilk is the oldest family-owned winery in Victoria with a history spanning back to 1925. Suffice to say, they know what they're doing. Sourcing fruit from parcels of vines as old as 95 years, they own some of the oldest known Marsanne vines on earth. Expect Meyer lemon, honeysuckle and melon on the palate. Rich and sumptuous and with just enough freshness. A true Aussie classic indeed!

Winery Notes "Made from 100% sangiovese grapes coming from different vineyards located on the south-east/west side of Montalcino, at altitudes varying from 250 to 400 m MSL. The southeast soils are made up of sandy loam, with limestone plates and plenty of heavy stone. The wine ages for several months in French and Slavonian oak barrels, and in bottle. Deep ruby red in colour with violet highlights. Intensely fruity and fresh with aroma of cherry, plum and sour cherry. Smooth … more
Tanqueray London Dry Gin is one of the world's favourite Gins. Known for pristine quality and a pure, clean taste, it is distilled four times. Made from only the world's finest botanicals, Tanqueray is the perfect Gin for your G&T or simply on the rocks.
A more refined version of the classic Tanqueray we know and love, with the aim of this gin being to elevate while still embodying what makes the original so classic. The base of the bottle resembles a citrus press, symbolic of the fresh Mexican limes, Florida oranges and pink grapefruits that are distilled in every small batch. This is the ultimate gin for the perfect cocktail and is best enjoyed with tonic water, plenty of ice and a wedge of … more
Winery Notes "Warre's Bottle Aged Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) presents a deep ruby colour with aromas of fruity, balsamic and spicy notes. This port wine is produced from a single vintage, so it has a very particular character, showing off the best qualities of that specific year. The Warre's Bottle Aged LBV is aged for four to six years in oak barrels, and then spends more time in the bottle before being sold. This process allows the tannins to mellow … more
"Dark and intense, lots of perfume, red and black fruits, tobacco, a leafy pop that's pure varietal class, creamy oak, lead pencils, aniseed and spice. Medium to full-bodied, a flood of flavour, super 'mineral' feel to the acidity, tannin is superb, and the finish is so long. Light but so dense. There's a fresh raspberry juiciness here too, and an extra dimension of tension and energy. All the graphite and presence. Incredible wine. Drink: 2026-2045+" 97+ Points, Gary Walsh, The … more
