This vintage's rosé is made from Sangiovese and Aglianico, and it shows on the nose. Lifted scents of red cherry and campari leap out of you, while the palate is as refreshing as you could hope for. Pour yourself a glass and be transported to the seaside, with a campari spritz in one hand and a good book in the other.

Incorporating a small portion of Colorino, and old Tuscan variety traditionally used in the production of Chianti, this wine was created to capture the essence of that style. The wine was made for immediate enjoyment, but like Chianti Classico, can be aged for a number of years to create greater complexity. Enticing aromas of sour cherry and plum, with nuances of dried herb. Fine tannins and acidity combine with ripe fruit to produce a medium-full bodied palate with persistent flavour. … more

Best White Wine and Wine of Show - 2024 North East Victorian Wine Challenge.
Grown and tended to in Beechworth by viticulturist Mark Walpole, and crafted by Adrien Rodda, this wine is a brisk and vibrant Verdicchio. It highlights varietals characters of bright, fresh green pear and lime juice like acidity, combined with toasted almond savouriness and a little bit of grip and chew, making it a great wine to pair with food.

Displaying all the characteristics of the fine Yarra Valley Cabernet style. Finestra's Cabernets are built for the cellar and also provide drinking pleasure from around three years after vintage.
"Red and black fruits, baking spice, plenty of perfume, violet and pencils, and gee, it's a beautiful smelling wine and there's a slight varietal roast red capsicum/pimento thing that adds rather than detracts. It's medium-bodied, plenty of fleshy tannin grip, acidity is bright and crisp, and the finish is long and … more

We've been on the hunt for great value Chardonnay from the Margaret River of late, so it was to our great delight that we discovered Flametree. This Chardonnay hits all the classic Margaret River hallmarks, ripe peaches, sumptuous body, soft frame of oak spice, for considerably less dollars than some of its competitors!
Producer Notes - "One of our most awarded wines!
Citrus oil, floral notes, dried pear and grapefruit aromas are well supported by subtle French oak. The palate … more

The perfect example of why Sicilian reds are often under rated. Bright ruby in colour, with beautiful notes of cherries, orange peel and white pepper. The palate is generous with a smooth richness and lush with tannins ever so soft on the finish. The perfect drop with charcuterie or with a bowl of tomato based pasta.

Very fine and beautifully balanced, the 2012 Guimaraens combines the depth and richness of Quinta do Panascal with the clearly delineated fruit and heady scented quality of the Pinhão Valley.
"The 2012 Fonseca Guimaraens explodes from the glass with black plums mixed with cassis, fresh fig and prune with a touch of warm - all very in keeping with the Fonseca style (a bit unruly but a lot of boisterous fun!) The palate is sweet on the entry with fresh … more

Note: Vigna del Sorbo became a Gran Selezione wine starting with the 2010 vintage, although the first vintage ever made was 1985.
"The 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo is another benchmark wine from Tuscany that shows the incredible potential of this iconic vintage. This beautiful single-vineyard Sangiovese reveals a graceful side with dark fruit intensity, cherry, plum, fresh violets and tilled earth. Tar, tobacco and licorice appear as delicate background tones, giving more volume and texture to … more
