Made for cooler nights and comfort, Zema Estate gives us deliciously silky red with a nose of dark berries, leather, malt and coffee grounds. Palate is punchy in dark fruit, currants and dates, leathery tannins and coconut-meets-dark chocolate oak flavours. A little bit of age is doing wonders here also.
It's been years since this wine has hit our shelves, and the price hasn't budged. In other words it's a belter for the price more than ever! Pair it with … more

"Never a wine to hide its light under a bushel, Viognier really grabs your attention with its exotic, perfumed opulence and flamboyance. Our 2018 is immediately inviting, full of rich apricot, mango and orange blossom aromas that are beautifully framed by delicate floral notes, and hints of spice, candied ginger and musk. The palate offers the same flavours with more intensity, and a delicate pithy acidity which keeps everything fresh and lively. A hedonistic wine of really wonderful volume, depth … more

"Bright and spicy, our 2018 Pinot Noir is a wine that balances delicacy and finesse, with the sense of depth and complexity that old vines produce. The initial bouquet of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry merges into more complex aromas of rose petal, cumin, liquorice and nutmeg, with a hint of earthy mushroom. The palate is full of crunchy red fruit, with subtle rose petal and spiced rhubarb flavours, but there's also a deeply savoury layer bringing a real … more

"Marsanne 59%, Roussanne 41%. One of our favourites, the 2018 white blend continues a tradition of savoury depth and subtlety. Its youthful delicacy unfurls progressively with time, revealing layers of texture, flavour and nuance that offer fascinating drinking. Opening gently, the nose has aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle, pear and fennel. On the palate there's a wonderful tension between the breadth of the fruit, the restrained pear skin-driven texture and the citrusy, quincy line of acidity that drives the wine effortlessly … more

"A wonderful year for Chardonnay, our 2018 shows the hallmark finesse, delicacy and poise the variety draws from our vineyard. The nose is cool, crisp and inviting with elegant aromas, notes of nectarine, white peach and a hint of struck match, and with time shows a spicy, delicately buttery, hazelnut and oatmeal richness. On the palate, juicy, tangy nectarine fruit adds beautifully to the rounded richness of the vintage. It has wonderful weight and drive, with an intensity, volume and … more

"Cabernet Sauvignon 58%, Cabernet Franc 13%, Merlot 11%, Petit Verdot 10%, Malbec 8%. As always, our Bordeaux blend is a perfect example of the saying that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The 2018 vintage is a great example, seamlessly combining depth and power with purity, elegance and finesse. An imposing nose of cassis, violets, plum and roasted peppers, with aromas of graphite, cigar box, cedar and bay - everything in place, well controlled, perfectly proportioned. … more

"Cherry fruits explode on the palate then transform into the classic Pinot silky smooth palate. Elegance combined with fine tannin structure. A medium-bodied yet powerful style so immediately delicious." - Winery Notes
"Four clones, hand-picked and sorted destemmed to small stainless steel tea chests with some stalk return, gently plunged, pressed to French oak (30% new) for 10 months. They're certainly more nimble on their feet, and they're absolutely varietal. I won't be around to see how this part new/part … more

A classic blend of 70% cabernet sauvignon, 18% merlot, 8% malbec and 4% petit verdot. Hand-picked and sorted, crushed and destemmed, open-fermented, on skins for up to a month, matured for 12 months in French oak (35% new). This is the serious side of '17. The aromas and flavours are still fresh and vibrant, but the palate, in particular, brooks no argument: this is a wine for protracted cellaring to allow the whipcord-tight structure to relax its grip. Drink to: … more

"Finesse combine with pillowy fruit weight, this is a wine that is fine boned as well as generous. Perfectly balanced fruit sit interlaced with a bright citrus acidity. A little pithy texture and an extremely fine grained oak tannin framework." - Winery Notes

Often described as one of Australia's unsung heroes, Grenache is naturally lighter in colour than Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon but continually provides us with wonderful big fruit flavours. Yalumba is extremely fortunate to have access to some of the oldest Grenache vineyards in the Barossa - with fruit for this wine sourced from vines planted between 1898 and 1973.
The fragrance is saturated with brooding plum red fruits, dark cherries and perfumed berries. This is a defined wine showing the … more
The fruit for the 2019 pinot noir was handpicked, with each parcel handled separately in the winery. Hand sorted and carefully destemmed (25% whole bunches). Each parcel went into traditional oak open fermenters. The nose has an incredibly perfumed and nuanced floral aroma. The palate is finely structured, concentrated and plush with a host of tightly packed red berry fruits. Polished and poised, the glossy sheen of subtle French oak is beautifully integrated in the background. The slightly chalky tannins … more
