Bright, young, fresh and uncomplicated. The Spring Vale "Melrose" Pinot Noir is made for those who like to taste the fruit of the vines, not overly extracted, not too oaky, just beautiful fruit fermented into wine then put into bottle! Not too simple though with a mix of 8 different Pinot Noir clones plus some mushroomy Pinot Meunier the aroma is a mixed bag of game and earthy notes with uplifted, luscious strawberry and raspberry fruits. This wine teeters on the brink between 'dry' and 'off dry', but simply put it's just superbly balanced in terms of acid and fruit/RS.

planted in 2004 at a vineyard density 5000 vines per hectare. Soil type as described by Samantha is predominantly dark clay on Jurassic dolerite.

Importers notes - "A blend of grenache blanc, roussanne and a good dollop of viognier. Stone fruits, some quartz mineral notes that thread through the mid palate and sprinkle white pepper to finish. Some slippery textural elements provide length and its cut nicely by a streak crunch acid."

The Blanc de Blanc spent 7 years on lees, promoting complexity and texture before being riddled, disgorged, and packaged onsite at our Granton estate winery. Made in a brut style, the dosage is low with approximately 5 grams per litre. Before release the wine spends over a year on cork, something that we know is vital for the wine to come together after disgorgement in September 2023.

"Steve Lubiana has almost 30 years of sparkling wine experience behind him and his current range of bubblies is the best I've tasted. This stunningly bright, pure, crystalline non-vintage fizz, with subtle hints of leatherwood honey, is a blend of 70 per cent chardonnay and 30 percent pinot noir, and spent two years on lees." Halliday Wine Companion "Shiraz sourced from vines planted in 1858 and the 1940s in the Eden Valley. Bright crimson in the glass with aromas of macerated satsuma plum, blackberry and blackcurrant pastille. Hints of violets, sage, licorice, bay leaf, roasting meats, panforte, salumi and earth. Full bodied with an elegant line, fine-grained tannins and plenty of drive and a sense of grace as it trails off."

Winery Notes - "As a blend of our best Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard sites, the Estate bottling is one of the most compelling illustrations of the Stonestreet Mountain. Winemaker Lisa Valtenbergs blends this wine with shrewd precision, balancing aromatic intrigue, texture and the Mayacamas' signature structural elements into a pure refection of the vintage. The 2016 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon starts out with savory aromas of blackberry, dark plum, blood orange, Star Anise and black cherry. As the wine opens, deep fruit … more
