"Vauprin" is a vineyard located in the village of Lignorelles (North Western corner of Chablis) and is known for being one of the highest altitude parcels in Chablis.
This particular wine is fermented in stainless steel, but then aged 50% in 2-5 year old barriques and 50% in stainless. Without the oak to "tame" the wine, this would be one serious searing Chablis! As it is it has wonderful texture, grea mineral drive and excellent Chardonnay fruit aromatics.

His latest release from the grand cru Vaudésir majestically expresses this duality: there is a textural and aromatic opulence comparable to the top wines of Meursault or Corton-Charlemagne, expressed in the form of a … more

The Savagnin grape variety, specific to the Jura region, thrives in the hills of blue and grey
marls from the lias (Jurassic) and the earlier trias (Mesozoic) eras.
Harvested by hand, Vin Jaune, in order to reach its potential, needs maturing for 6 years without topping up, during which it will acquire its unique taste of walnut, under the effect of a skin of « flor yeast ».
A yellow colour, golden reflections, a thick disk, nice and numerous legs. … more

Domaine Roulot was founded in 1830 by Guillaume Roulot in Meursault, France. Paul Roulot replanted the vineyard during the First World War, and from 1950-1960 his son, Guy Roulot, managed the vineyard. After his death, this historical vineyard and cellar was looked after by American wine maker, Ted Lemon (now Littorai wines), until 1989. Today, the estate is run by Jean-Marc Roulot, and the vineyards are considered some of the most prestigious in the region. … more
