Vincent Dancer Pommard 1er Cru Les Pézerolles 2017

Named after an old Pommard family, Les Pézerolles sits above Les Petits Épenots and the Clos des Epeneaux. Some big names work in this vineyard including de Montille and Lafarge. It's a site that's held to produce one of Pommard's sweeter, more Volnay-like expressions. Dancer's small parcel, planted in 1978, has yielded a wonderful, layered Pommard with a sexy, mouthcoating texture and fine, sweet tannins. Only three barrels were produced.

Once again the mouth feel of the middle weight flavors is seductively succulent while managing to maintain good delineation on the bitter cherry and mineral-inflected finish.
