A rich, spiced nose portrays the concentration of the 2015 vintage. Black fruits tend to dominate on both the nose and front palate, rather than the usual red spectrum - though both are present. The palate shows dense fruit weight, with black cherry and blackberry together with undertones of allspice. Supple tannins give added structure to the intense palate while the natural acidity aids freshness and length, making this wine a pleasure to drink. Screwcap. - Winemaker, Belinda Thomson

"Invariably excellent wines from this producer, with not a wine scoring less than 92 points on its history on The Wine Front. Sweet blackcurrant and blackberry, dark raspberry, new leather and a bit of truffle, pencils and violet. It's medium-bodied, fluid and lithe, yet deep in fruit, graphite tannin, succulence, perhaps a little mint and tobacco leafiness, and a long cool finish packed with tightly-knit fine chalky tannin.
