Producer Notes - "We aim to make a Chardonnay with great length, which reaches a balance between richness and elegance. While some techniques are borrowed from the Burgundians, there are some departures from traditional practice in response to local factors, which ensures a unique wine. The most notable of these is that our Chardonnay does not undergo malolactic fermentation, as our local climate leaves the fruit with the ideal acidity when it is picked. Our Chardonnay is matured in 30% … more

One of the most brilliant characteristics of Pinot Noir as a variety is that it tends to reflect and express the season more clearly than any other variety. The 2019 Pinot Noir shows some riper, more robust characters than are typical of Mount Mary Pinot Noir, while still carrying our hallmark elegance and purity. On the nose there are stewed plums, quince, cherry liqueur, sauté mushroom and spice.
The palate is rich, decadent, silky and seamless. There are flavours of … more

"Mount Mary Pinot Noir has always walked a fine line between bright, fresh primary fruit and darker, earthy secondary complexities. The fruit grown in our vineyard naturally lends itself so well to this style. We choose to work with these characteristics in the winery rather than push the wines in another direction. We have made this style of Pinot Noir for 40 years now. Any changes in winemaking follow the pursuit of perfecting and improving within this style. This wine … more

45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot.
Producer Notes - "The 2021 is a Quintet to sit comfortably alongside our famed 1990, 2015 and 2019 renditions. The nose offers red cherry, violets, spice and some earthy undertones. The palate is driven by red fruits, intertwined with spicy French oak; however, it is really the quality of tannin that defines this wine on the palate. Not since the 2013 vintage have we seen this quality … more

Winery notes "The 2023 Réflexion is a compelling example-fresh, vibrant, and immediately drinkable.
Aromatically, it bursts from the glass with lifted red fruits: cherry, plum, and redcurrant. The palate
is taut, sleek, and finely structured, delivering flavours of cherry and blackcurrant layered with
subtle sweet spice and smoky nuances that add complexity. Tannins are present but beautifully
integrated-soft, restrained, and perfectly aligned with the wine's elegant frame and medium
bodied weight. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot."

65% Sauvignon Blanc; 25% Semillon; 10% Muscadelle. The 2019 Triolet is somewhat defined by the explosive complexity of aromatics that burst from the glass. Some leaner lime, grapefruit and freshly cut grass aromatics combine with passionfruit and green apple characters, giving this wine so much intrigue on the nose. There is also a savoury element of slate, seashells and beeswax. The palate shows brilliant intensity of flavour but is held in check by a strict line of acidity. It follows … more

Finely structured tannins frame this medium bodied, generous wine, finishing with good balance and length. The Billi Billi Shiraz is sourced from a selection of premium cool climate vineyards throughout Victoria; predominantly the Grampians including a portion from the Mount Langi Ghiran vineyards. This cool climate source imparts a freshness onto the wine, with lifted florals on the nose and bright fruit that is underlaid by depper, more savoury shiraz characters like dark, black plums and soft whiffs of cocoa … more

Organic. The Herrenletten Erste Lage sits adjacent to Bürgergarten. The name Herrenletten combines both the historical and the geological: Herren, indicates that the region was owned by noble landlords in the Middle Ages; the second part, letten, refers to the type of soil-sandy clay with layers of limestone and chalky clay. The oldest Riesling vines here are 40 years old (the site is also home to Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, though obviously not in use here!)

Pronounced youthful aromas of lime, bay leaf & citrus, this vinho verde lives up to the name. Lovely minerality and delicate stone fruits such as white peach and nectarine are evident. The palate has great underlying, acidity, sesty, yet ripe round notes of white peach, lime zest and shale.

In his travels, Evan Milne has worked as a restaurateur, wine rep and importer. It only made sense that he might like to toss his hat in the ring and make some wine, thus Mutual Promise was born. He has sourced some Gamay from the Koombahla vineyard in the King Valley and together with Adrian Rodda and Mark Walpole, produced some excellent wines at unbelievable good value.
