"Made from the usual three sectors, at a yield of 15-20 hl/ha, with 20% barrel. A slightly paler colour with discreet bouquet. Excellent tension, a pure white apple and fresh pear fruit, really precise here while maintaining complexity, really very persistent. Beautifully mineral finish, really very fine." Drink from 2025-2032. 93-95pts - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.

Domaine Servin has one of the best value Montee de Tonnerre's of all producers. The vines here are almost 60 years old in some parts, with the youngest in their mid-30s.
Burghound said "export manager Mark Cameron, take on 2019 was "more one of surprise that such a hot and dry vintage could have given us such fresh and relatively classically styled wines. Yes, they are ripe and yes, they do have somewhat elevated alcohol levels and yes, they are … more

"The 2019 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru has a little more intensity than the Charmes-Chambertin, damp undergrowth, moss, light leafy aromas tincturing the mainly red fruit and developing more and more earthiness with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Taut and fresh with perhaps the most saline finish of all Romain Taupenot's cuvées this year, … more

From one of Morey's leading premiers crus, with mostly very old vines and the same geology as Mazoyères, with calcareous soil rich in clay. Taupenot-Merme has a 0.57ha parcel and the estate's vines are more than 60 years old on average.
"The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru is stubborn and austere on the nose at the moment, red berry fruit and damp loam aromas/woodland scents gradually unfurling, hints of cepes. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit mixed … more

Facing east on a gentle clay-limestone soil slope, the vineyard has perfect conditions for the Chardonnay grape variety to grow. Concentrated and pure, this Premier Cru combines great aromatic complexity and refined style. The palate is well-rounded with notes of ripe yellow fruits. It has a tonic finish, with hints of spice."

Winery Notes - "Pinot Noir from vines with an average age of 35 years. The vineyard of Auxey-Duresses is located next to a valley, between Meursault and Monthélie. A blackberry bouquet with a tart finish and textured tannins. A powerful wine when young, the tannins soften and the wine unveils itself when opened after a few years."

Winery Notes - "Vines with an average age of 35 years. This Meursault Premier Cru is unconventional. Its aromas are characteristic of clay-limestone soil and in particular, limestone rock subsoil. On the nose you will notice a mix of flint and pure fruit. It is sharp, light and mineral, with a saline finish."

Winery Notes - "Vines with an average age of 25 years from a 1.28Ha parcel. The village of Puligny is famous for its grands crus. The Chalumeaux terroir is located near Hameau de Blagny, on a hillside facing east and on very rocky marly limestone soil. It has a beautiful aromatic complexity that combines concentration and finesse. Floral aromas and notes of roasted hazelnuts are underlined by an elegant minerality."
