Jamsheed Great Western Riesling 'Garden Gully' 2016

This Riesling is handpicked from the Garden Gully vineyard in Western Victoria that was planted around the turn of the 19th century. The vines are low yielding vines are of unknown clonal origin and produce intensely flavoured high acid fruit. Handpicked and trucked to the Yarra Valley winery, the fruit is then whole bunch pressed and racked to large (800L) French muids and left to ferment with indigenous yeasts. After 8 months on lees the final wine is stabilised, filtered and bottled with a small amount of residual sugar (15gms/l). Alc/vol 11.8%
