Wonery Notes - "Grosset Gaia from the cooler 2022 vintage shows impressive generosity and balance - the hallmarks of this wine for more than three decades. It has positive aromatics, gentle at first, then assertive; there are all the vibrant briary, brambly notes that you would expect. There's a brooding quality about the wine that demands close inspection. It is satiny smooth, tight and fine, but displaying its bright blackcurrant, dark liqueur cherry, blackberry, bramble flavours that are deep, satisfying and long. Ageing potential: 25 years"

"The blend in 2022 is 85/15% cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc. A hauntingly beautiful rendition of Gaia that's svelte, even, succulent and impressive in persistence. There's immense concentration in its medium weight, compact frame, and tannins shimmer with emery board grip and drag stretching the wine out and tucking in the darker fruit, spice and herbal details. The perfume is rich in dark berries, black olive, mint and fennel with some woody spice overlay - lovely stuff here, too. The quality of tannin needs additional mention.
