Clayfield Reserve Massif Shiraz 2016

Winery Notes - "Massif Shiraz was produced from grapes grown primarily at our Moyston vineyard

located in Victoria}s famous Grampians region and a small amount from the Westgate vineyard

near Great Western. "

The Massif has a medium red colour with a crimson hue and brilliant clarity. The aroma has

spicy floral and peppery aroma typical of western Victorian Shiraz. It was matured in American

and French oak hogsheads for approx 17 months.

The palate exhibits Shiraz fruitiness, ripe plum with spice and is medium to full in body finishing dry with nice tannin. Sealed with Stelvin capsules this wine will retain its freshness, it does benefit from decanting and patient breathing before drinking during the next phase of its life.
