The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Porêts-Saint-Georges is showing very well from bottle, unfurling in the glass with aromas of wild berries, cassis, candied peel, incense and spices, gently framed by a deft application of new oak that's already nicely integrated. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, with ripe but lively acids, a fleshy core of mouthwatering fruit and fine framing tannins, concluding with good length on the finish.
