Benjamin Leroux Puligny-Montrachet 2018

The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Village is very textural with a crisp, fresh grapefruit and lemongrass quality and a fine bead of acidity. This, together with the natural generosity of the year, makes for a wining combination! Leroux's decision to pick this first among all his vineyards pays dividends. Always an outstanding example of the village since Leroux's first release in 2007, this year is no exception. The fruit comes from Corvée des Vignes, Les Reuchaux and Les Levrons-a grouping of vineyards on the Meursault side of the village. Across the parcels, the vines average 40 years of age.
