Winery Notes - 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc & Merlot - 2 years in French Oak.

We are delighted with the grace with which this wine is ageing. A year of great intensity of flavour throughout the vineyard, the wine has softened, yet retained a freshness that belies its 15 years of age. Dense black fruit notes introduce the wine, together with hints of cherry, our hallmark liquorice, spice and bay leaf. At once fresh and dense, the tannins throughout the palate are soft and supple, providing elegance and structure around the fruit and acid. Beautifully integrated oak helps shape the palate and together with supple acidity, provides terrific length and depth. Utterly delicious drinking.
