The Henri GOUGES domain was established in 1919 of Nuits Saint Georges at the very beginning of this century. Founded by Henri Gouges, it was subsequently developed by his two sons, Michel and Marcel. Today it is Pierre, Christian and their successor, Grégor. Henri & Philippe Jouan Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbe 2023

Vines 60 to 70 years old. This smells like raspberry jam and sour cream piled on toasted scones. Flecks of graphite and gunflint, mica-bright minerality, river stones and moss and then masses and masses of raspberry fruit. Plus playful raspberry-candy sweetness.
