This humbly priced Sangiovese is the surprise dark horse that never stops going. Rarely does it drop out of position as our number one bestseller, and when it does, its usually not for long. It's plump and generously fruited, with enough lipsmacking acidity to bring people back to it time and time again. Plus, at well under $20 - you'd be a fool not to grab two!!

Swap out your usual week-night white for this fascinating Falanghina. A variety native to Campania (the heel of Italy's boot), this one does it all. Expect fragrant florals and soft stonefruit scents, and a palate that's supercharged with thirst-quenching freshness and a tart lemon-sherbet finish.
From 21 year old vines, grown on grey clay-loam soils in Yarra Junction, this Sauv Blanc walks the line between contemporary style with familiar character. There’s a bright, fresh and slight tropical note to the nose, with a zippy palate that finishes remarkably sleek. Aided by some clever winemaking, this is a real gem.
"This wine, to state the obvious, has been quite a while coming! The Col Mountain wines are from deep red soil with a … more

Organically grown viognier from Toolleen was pressed firmly as whole clusters. The juice was fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel and seasoned Stockinger puncheons. An expressive wine - Earl Grey tea, white flower potpourri and herbal inflections lead to fuzzy white peach and tangerine zest.

The 2021 vintage was exceptional in Heathcote, with all the makings of our finest yet. One of our coldest winters in recent memory was followed by a warm and dry spring, with perfect, even set and growth. The warm, dry and consistent conditions prevailed throughout summer, resulting in highly concentrated small berries. Lifted perfume with layers of red and black fruits. Pristine and poised with floral notes, tar, gun flint and exceptional concentration and purity. The palate is seamless and … more

This year, the POCW team decided to see if a blend of the three white grapes they have in the cellar might work as well as the Tradition red. They were blown away by the result, and so were we. This is one-third Chardonnay from a new Dominique Laurent Tronçais cask and two-thirds Marsanne and Roussanne. It has all the generosity of this producer's Marsanne/Roussanne with the cut and thrust of the Chardonnay (not to mention some seriously classy oak). … more
