400 Conejos Espadin Joven is produced by maestro mezcalero Don Tacho in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca. Don Tacho carefully selects the agave Espadin when they have reached maturity after 8-10 years. This mezcal is traditionally produced using a stone oven (horno), horse-drawn tahona, and copper distillation. Mezcal 400 Conejos is named after the ancestral belief that agave spirits were occupied by 400 rabbits. Those who ingested the agave spirits would be controlled by one of the 400 rabbits, but no one … more

So deep it feels like its pulling in the direction of the centre of the earth! Yet, another side of the wine seems to float above the world. Radically mineral finish that leaves you in no doubt about this great dry Riesling's future. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2023 - James Suckling

Producer Notes - 'Sitting on the edge of an escarpment, the vineyard is planted at 580 metres above sea level in deep, shaley, mudstone soils. Intense aromas of dark cherries, spiced plums, and cinnamon spice are intertwined with hints of violets, cedar, and graphite. On the palate, plush fruit characters are seamlessly interwoven with fine, powdery tannins, providing a finish that is long, velvety, and ever so savoury.'

A.Mano was founded by husband and wife duo Mark and Elvezia, who fell in love with Southern Italy, and with crafting native Apulian varieties. Their Falanghina is a lovely example of a sumptuous Puglian white - fragrant freesias, ripe pineapple and candied ginger coat the palate, washed away by a lick of sea spray freshness.
Made from fruit sourced from the Finca Los Alamos vineyard, upper Uco Valley Tunuyan, Mendoza. A unique soil profile of immense paleo channels - alluvial gravels descend to 10's of metres depth. Water enters the profile during the October/November thaw (ideal for flowering) whilst rainfall is extremely scarce for the rest of the growing season. Berries are small and flavours intense. The site is at 1200 m asl and combined with a continental influence results in great colour and good … more
"Tangy lemon zest, a little salt and floral perfume, lots of talc-like texture, perhaps a little coarse, but such a good delivery of zesty citrus peel and tangy bite, that it's very easy to like. Length is good. All the lime drizzled Riesling flavours here." 93 Points, Gary Walsh, winefront.com.au
