"A focused bouquet of citrus-lime, white currant and a tinge of elderflower and spice. The palate is flavoursome and beautifully balanced with excellent intensity and refinement. A wine with life and zest, typical of great Eden Valley Rieslings." - Producer's note

No chance to mistake this, with its abundance of darker things; stock, porcini, graphite, smoke and black cherry. Under this very typical Serralunga 'tarry/earthy' mantle though, are other complexities of dried roses, orange and spices. The firm and enlivening structure of a great Serralunga is here to underpin all this. Strong black tea tannins at present. All components are here.

"The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc Merlot offers a complex display of blackberries, currants, and bell peppers, with delicate hints of spice and cigar box. On the palate, tight acidity and fine-grained tannins create structure, while a touch of spicy oak adds length and complexity." - Barry Morey, Winemaker

The classic Aussie GSM is best when balanced - something Soul Growers has no trouble achieving in their 'Equilibrium'. A full-bodied wine, smooth and supple on the palate with surprising brightness. Expect luxurious flavours of plums, cassis, fresh tobacco leaves and a whiff of smoky oak.

It's a difficult line to toe in Barossa, to balance plush Barossan character with high toned fruit and textural freshness. Winemaker Pete Schell seems to have it figured out though. Using different combinations of whole cluster, whole berry and destemmed fruit, as well as short macerations and maturation in both steel and seasoned oak, he has certainly succeeded. Pete sums up the reasoning behind his gentle approach simply: "it's easier to overdo it than underdo it in the Barossa".This wine … more

A gorgeous blend of Semillon and lesser known (in Australia) varieties Clairette and Ugni Blanc, sourced from old vine plantings in the Barossa. Typically quite neutral varieties, clever winemaking from Pete Schell at Spinifex has coaxed out white peach fruit character, and pretty scents of white pepper and freshly picked herbs.

Pete Schell, winemaker at Spinifex, took one look at the 'more is more' mentality of the Barossa Valley and knew it wasn't for him. His pared back, modern style makes for unpretentious and highly drinkable wines. Take the La Cigale, for example, dark fruited and savoury, with Provençal notes of blood plums, redcurrant and fresh rosemary.

If you're worried that a rosé from the Barossa is going to be as hot and heavy as many of the reds are, let us put your mind at ease. Spinifex has crafted a rosé just as crisp and refreshing as any good Provençal rosé. Bright scents of pink grapefruit zest upfront, the palate is refreshingly mineral, with a Campari-orange bitterness to the finish.
