Coming from old vines with low yield, this full-bodied wine is characterized by a high phenolic concentration. Its colour is a dark ruby, tending towards black. The nose presents floral and black fruit aromas. It has a beautiful energy on the palate, marked by powerful black fruit flavours (blackberries, blackcurrants) at the attack. In the finish, there is a harmony of fine tannins balanced by beautiful acidity.

Bird on a Wire Chardonnay 2021
Willowlake Vineyard has long been the source of some of the Yarra Valley's most impressive Chardonnays. Located in the Upper Yarra, this predominantly north-facing site is home to 40-year-old vines and red volcanic soils with gravel over mudstone.
