The 2021 vintage was exceptional in Heathcote, with all the makings of our finest yet. One of our coldest winters in recent memory was followed by a warm and dry spring, with perfect, even set and growth. The warm, dry and consistent conditions prevailed throughout summer, resulting in highly concentrated small berries. Lifted perfume with layers of red and black fruits. Pristine and poised with floral notes, tar, gun flint and exceptional concentration and purity. The palate is seamless and … more

Founded in 1785, Heidsieck & CO Monopole is one of the oldest Houses in Champagne. This historical legacy is present in each of these wines, recognised for their exceptional oenological and often award-winning qualities.
The bouquet is powerful and generous, almost woody and spicy, characterised by intense aromatic richness, with toasted, buttery, and wine-rich aromas. It expresses bold initial notes presaging a full, fruity taste that is nicely structured.

This Yuzushu is made with a one-year-old Junmai Sake and Yuzu juice, at a 1 : 1 ratio. This is higher than most Yuzushu produced elsewhere. The yuzu fruit is grown in Wakayama and is juiced with its peel, giving all the qualities of the fruit, sweet, sour & bitter. This example has a marvellous full aroma of fresh yuzu, with a zesty, citrus tart character and a fruit sweet and fresh finish.

A classic if ever there was one. Distilled at the Girvan distillery in Scotland, it is a stalwart component of any bartender's lineup. Distinct for its curious additions to the still of cucumber and rose petals, amongst the more classic juniper and 11 other botanicals, it is classically served with tonic and a slice of cucumber for the ultimate refreshment.
250 years young, Hennessy is recognised as the pinnacle of the cognac world and is internationally recognised as a symbol of luxury, power and passion. Hennessy’s remarkable collection of rare eaux-de-vie is matched only by the unique skill of the Master Blenders and since 1800, this know-how has been passed down through 7 generations of the same family. Scents of oak and vanilla, with a hint of red berries is followed by lighter notes of hazelnuts to round out what … more
"Slightly smoky, stinky nose. Then iris and wild cherry. Deeper tone than their Morey; more winter-bark bitterness, more intense fruit. Woodland strawberries. Intense sweetness of fruit and acidity packed into every molecule. Tiny candied polka dots through the aching freshness of fruit. The tannins hold back, and then prowl in on tiptoe, almost as if they're trying not to be seen. Cranberry tartness on the rewarding length." Tamlyn Currin, JancisRobinson.com, 15/1/2025. "Quiet nose. Woodsy, rose hip, violets. Soft smokiness, like the first wisp from a pile of forest-damp wood. Quite floral, like walking through a bluebell woods on a wet May morning. Black pepper and Sichuan pepper on the end. Very composed. Grown-up gravitas." Tamlyn Currin, JancisRobinson.com, 15/1/2025. Drink: 2029 - 2038

Vines 60 to 70 years old. This smells like raspberry jam and sour cream piled on toasted scones. Flecks of graphite and gunflint, mica-bright minerality, river stones and moss and then masses and masses of raspberry fruit. Plus playful raspberry-candy sweetness. Intense without weight or heat, intense but graceful. A wonderful end note of linseed and rye adding more savoury intrigue to the wine." Tamlyn Currin, JancisRobinson.com, 15/1/2025. Made predominantly from Tinta Negra Mole--with 10% Malvasia in this case-- Henriques & Henriques 3 Year Old blends are produced in an estufa process specifically set up for these wines. They are then aged in oak casks for 3 years prior to bottling. Henriques' Full Rich is a dark, luscious and fragrant sweet wine with aromas of dried fruit and caramel. Full-bodied and very fruity, it should be enjoyed as a dessert wine, with chocolate and fruit-based courses.

As with the 10YO, this is a striking, off-dry wine that can be served as an aperitif, with tapas type dishes or seafood. Also excellent with consommés or soups. Verdelho has a medium body and racy acidity. Jancis Robinson: "Beef extract and malt on the nose. Very interesting. Lovely broad, complete offering that is just off dry. Deep yet rich. Really reverberates on the palate. Complex, long and tense. 17.5/20"

This mindbogglingly complex Malvasia (weighting in at 20.45 alc/vol and just over 100 grams of residual sugar, balanced by delicious mouth-watering acidity) has been matured using the traditional Canteiro method in Henriques' purpose built lodges in Camara de Lobos. The wines are cask-aged in lodge attics, against south-facing windows, and at 20 years maturation thus, represents the best of Vinhos de Canteiro. This extraordinary wine is redolent of dried Turkish black figs and toffee, with penetrating citrus oils, toasted nuts and … more
