Bass Phillip

Owner/winemaker Phillip Jones is almost certainly the most celebrated Pinot Noir producer in this country, having been the first producer to really master the textural finesse and authentic flavours of Burgundy-like styles in Australia. His cropping levels are phenomenally low and his approach to vineyard management has been the target of imitation by many. The wines are significant for their texture, complexity, fruit intensity and age-worthiness. When these wines are at their best, there are few in Australia who could match their quality.
