Izway 'Mates' Barossa Valley Aglianico 2020

The 'Mates' from Izway tracks a long and winding path from its first bottling in 04. Originally a GSM, it has evolved through many iterations. 2019 Mates is a more modern approach, 100% Aglianico made in a style that takes inspiration from the bouncy and bright wines of Beaujolais. It is layered and intriguing, with plenty of dense, dark fruit and meaty savouriness. Best paired with lamb shanks (a favourite of the team from Izway!), it is a versatile drop with plenty of structure and depth that is sure to find its way on to any dinner table.
