Hurley Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir 2019

This is blended from selected barrels of Lodestone and Garamond and all the barrels of Hommage. The grapes of these vineyards were harvested by hand on 1, 2, 3 and 4 March 2019, fermented under the action of indigenous yeasts, basket-pressed and, after twenty months in barrel (one quarter new), bottled on 3 November 2020. Closed with Diam cork. Bright mid-garnet in colour. Expressive aromas of nougat, ripe cherries and rosewater create an initial impression of ripeness and lift. The palate is intense and persistent with black cherries and cassis complemented by cake spice and a luscious texture balanced by fresh acidity and fine enduring tannins. The overall effect is one of generosity without exaggeration.
