Arpepe Valtellina Superiore Superiore Grumello Rocca del Piro 2015
Made from 100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo).
Founded in 1984 by Arturo Pellizzatti Perego, Arpepe is a family business, work in the heroic viticulture of the steeply terraced vineyards of Valtellina, an alpine region. Nebbiolo here is called Chiavvenasca, play around elegance and finesse. This Cuvee comes from a single Zone the Grumello area, within a single vineyard Rocco Piro.
So this a minuscule production with 24 months aging in big Slavonian, and cherry cask. Nose of cherry, violet, sweet spice lots elegant and precision. Charming.
