Tolpuddle Chardonnay 2019

This stunning vineyard in the south of Tasmania in the Coal River Valley is set on a continuous slope facing North-East, the ideal locale for producing top-class, premium versions of Burgundian varieties. The Chardonnay from 2019 release is an outstanding wine from winemaker Adam Wadewitz. This has power and complexity and the right grade of reductive flair, overlaid on fresh yellow grapefruit and peach with flint and wet chalk, as well as attractive oak in the background. The palate has mouth-watering white peach and lemon flavours with a deep draw of acidity that drives the finish in really deep, precise and fresh.
