Traviarti Beechworth Rosso 2019

In 2018 Traviarti planted a new vineyard on the Beechworth Wangaratta Rd, a venture with a friend which has become their Rosso block of 80% Nebbiolo and 20% Barbera. The 2019 is the first vintage that will see no portion of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine itself is closer to the style Simon is working towards, now comprising 65% Nebbiolo and 35% Barbera. The wine is a little lighter on its feet showing a little more 'Nebbiolo palate' while still being open and soft. The cooler ripening season has really let the wine hit the balance of savoury and fruitfulness. The winery says this is ideal early drinking and ready for the table now!
