Belinda Thomson Sea Party Sauvignon Semillon 2018
Note: Our last dozen is under screwcap, not cork as pictured.
A one-off, stunning wine, from Belinda Thomson (of Crawford River Wines fame).
Totally natural, barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon, aged on lees in long cigar barrels for added texture. The wine developed a flor yeast for about 10 months in barrel, which Belinda carefully encouraged, without oxidising the wine too much. So it's not your run of the mill (and alas all too often volitile) natural wine, rather a wonderfully complex drink that is uncannily stable - open a bottle and it's good for a week.
