Torbreck The Laird Shiraz 2013

In the Scottish language, 'The Laird' refers to the Lord of the Manor. This single vineyard Shiraz comes from Malcolm and Joylene Seppelt's old Gnadenfrei vineyard in the sub-region of Marananga in the Barossa Valley.

In 2003, Malcolm asked Dave Powell if Torbreck would make the wine under contract for him. For the next two years, each time Dave gave the wine back to Malcom, he felt he was returning the best parcel of Shiraz Torbreck made from that vintage … more

Seppeltsfield Paramount Collection DP898 Aged Flor Apera 500ml. Gift Boxed

The Seppeltsfield Paramount Collection is inspired by the traditional Spanish and Portuguese 'fractional blending' method of aging wines. This system delivers high quality and style consistency by blending younger wines into old. After utilising only the very first cut of free-run juice and fortification with a neutral spirit, the DP898 Aged Flor Apera is matured in our Solero nurseries to an approximate average of 48 years, featuring individual components of over half a century in age.

Torbreck RunRig Shiraz 2018

Shiraz from old dry grown Barossa vineyards is blended with Viognier, complementing the strengths and complexities of these individual parcels of fruit, whilst giving the resulting wine a further dimension. Although wonderfully aromatic, RunRig also exhibits a power and latent richness making it more akin to the hugely concentrated wines sourced from the sun drenched hill of Hermitage - the historic home of Syrah and some of the world’s most powerful and longest living wines. - Winery Notes

Rockford "Home Block" Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Magnum

1250 Magnums produced in 2017.

Not available at cellar door, but this outstanding Cabernet in a magnum is perfect for a family luncheon. Made from the Rockford "Home Block", this is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

After being open fermented and basket pressed, the wine is aged in seasoned French oak hogsheads and large vats for three years. This allows the tannins to soften, colours and flavours to consolidate and achieves a deeply varietal wine that is soft and generous.

Charles Melton Nine Popes 2018

Chateauneuf du Pape, the stuff upon which Nine Popes is based, when translated to English means "Castle of the new Pope", but in many of the older languages the word "neuf" can mean both "nine" and "new". Casting around for clever names for the Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre that would become Nine Popes, winemaker Charlie drew inspiration from the aforementioned French region best known for its Grenache blends and mistranslated it to Nine Popes.

Producer Notes - "Vintage 2018 provided almost identical conditions … more

Rockford "Rifle Range" Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Winery Notes - "Rifle Range Road which runs parallel to Krondorf Road, is in the heart of the Valley Floor and winds its way up the hills to Kaiser Stuhl National Park. The old rifle range is long gone, but the farming land and vineyards that have long been part of the landscape are still there. Langmeil Jackamans Cabernet 2012

Jackaman's vineyard is Langmeil's finest and rarest Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in the 1960s during the Cabernet revolution in the Barossa. This vineyard was lovingly tended by the colourful Barossan Arthur Jackaman, a World War II paratrooper, boxer and butcher who in retirement passed his small plot into Langmeil's care.

Bright, juicy, blue and red fruits flow onto the palate which is mediumto full bodied. Briary spice adds to the complexity and the sweet fruit is well balanced with fine, silky … more

Izway Harold Shiraz 2022

Winery Notes "The tiny bunches harvested in 2022 delivered an exceptional depth of flavour and colour. The resulting wine is certainly bolder than previous releases and pours inky black in a display of power. The nose is almost northern Barossa, with coffee and chocolate notes waltzing with blackberry and blueberry. The palate is rich and textural, with cooler elements of spice and licks of cornichon adding elegance and restraint. The nose is almost northern Barossa, with coffee and chocolate notesmore

Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Shiraz 2019

Producer Notes - "A star of the 2019 vintage. Deep, dense purple-red in colour. Seductive and alluring florals, cool mints, red pomegranate with fine blackberry fruits and dark cherry aromas. The palate is delightfully generous with dark red cherry fruit that merges into ironstone tannins. A medium to full bodied wine with a long, flowing tannin profile. A very refined and elegantly styled Signature.

Enjoyable now or will cellar for 15+ years."
