Gran Sasso Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2021

From the rolling hills of Abruzzo, overlooking the east coast and out to the Adriatic, comes this outrageously good value Montepulciano. Typically an uncomplicated wine, perfect for a night in with a bowl of homemade pasta, this $16 wine gives much more than it takes! Loaded with character, forest berry fruit, worn leather and wild herbs, it sings of the hills from which it comes.

Toscolo Chianti 2019

Chianti is the backbone of Tuscany - 100% Sangiovese, supple with cherry fruit and a soft, flavourful palate with appealing balance and that essential tannin backbone that makes Sangiovese particularly food-friendly and versatile.

Toscolo, an Italian renaissance word meaning Tuscan boy, is Neil and Maria Empson's labour of love from a long-time passion for this extraordinary region. The Empsons chose friend and star oenologist Franco Bernabei to style the wines and their experience and expertise gives them access to a … more

Kris Pinot Grigio IGT 2022

We've stocked the Kris Pinot Grigio for what feels like eternity, and each vintage it keeps on surprising us by remaining consistently delicious and exceptionally well priced. Coming from the Delle Venezie - the historical name for the three regions of the Venento - it is supremely classic Venetian Pinot Grigio. Crisp and fresh on the nose, with notes of acacia, lemon citrus and fresh green almonds, the palate is refreshing and dry, with a whiff of green pears and … more

Antonio Soave 2022

Hailing from the lower slopes of the Dolomites are the wines of Antonio Fattori. Locally regarded as exceptionally talented in cultivating Garganega and Pinot Grigio and producing wines that speak of the place they came from. The Soave is top notch and a great value for the dollars. Peachy stone fruit and zesty citrus, with a hint of green almond and sea-spray minerality.

Monte Antico Sangiovese 2019

An affordable and classic Sangiovese? We'll take two! The Monte Antico hits all the hallmarks, think red currants, tart cherries, wood smoke and dried rosemary. Generosity of fruit upfront makes way for moreish structure and a lip-smacking finish that far outweighs the price.

A lighter and brighter example of the Valpolicella region, a region often recognised for its sappy, sickly reds, this wine is charming and brings scents of ripe cherries, soft raspberries, fresh tobacco and dried sage. Lini 910 'Labrusca' Lambrusco Rosso NV

Labrusca was the ancient name for Lambrucso. This is made from 85% Salamino and 15% Ancellotta using the charmat method for a long and slow fermentation lasting 3-4 months. This method produces a fine and gentle fizz, more like sparkling water, that makes it so delicious with a variety of food. Dark red to black in colour, there are notes of dark berry and cherry fruit with fruitcake, spice, and chocolate, the palate dry and refreshing.
