2009 was a dream vintage at Huet for the sweeter styles. Huet's 09 Moelleux and Première Trie range from the exquisite to the sublime. The 09 Le Mont Moelleux is a really lush, hedonistic wine with green mango, honey and even some melted butter notes. Rich and delicious, it coats the mouth and finishes long a perfumed. Cracking wine and an absolute bargain.

Huet's Demi-Sec typically fall between 20-25 g/L--give or take a few grams--but the acidity makes the wine only just off-dry. These are examples of Chenin Blanc that manage finesse and diamond-like clarity, yet they are somehow open and welcoming at the same time.
