Domaine René Bouvier Marsannay Clos du Roy Vieilles Vignes 2019
"Slightly riper liqueur-like aromas are comprised by notes of herbal tea, lavender, earth and poached plum. The sleek, delicious and energetic flavors are not especially dense, but the combination of better energy, better depth and equally good length make this a more complete wine." 89-92. Outstanding. Jane Eyre Côte de Nuits Villages 2021
I started working with this appellation in 2014. This wine is always a blend of 2 parcels located in Comblanchien and Corgoloin owned by the same grower. This appellation was badly affected by the spring frost resulting in a very small crop. The wine is 100% destemmed with no new oak. The wine was racked and assembled into tank the middle of July and bottled the last week of August. Garnet in colour, with a wonderfully aromatic nose consisting of … more

Domaine Robert Chevillon Bourgogne Rouge 2020
The 2018 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which comes from vines within Nuits Saint-Georges, has a glorious bouquet for a generic red Burgundy, featuring brambly red fruit; maraschino cherries develop with time. The palate is medium-bodied, the 10% new oak lending a little weight on the midpalate, and there is fine definition and length on the finish. This comes highly recommended.
