Brokenwood Semillon 2022 375ml

A vibrant colour with a touch more than usual due to the sunshine. Lovely florals and lemon grass aromas. Mouth filling flavours of pear and lemon pith balancing the zesty acid backbone. The aromas and fruit weight belie the 10.8% alcohol and reconfirms that the Hunter Valley produces fruit at optimal ripeness at much lower sugar levels. A classic Hunter Valley Semillon to enjoy now or will age gracefully over many years.

Fighting Gully Road Rose 2023

Fighting Gully Road Verdicchio 2022

Grown and tended to in Beechworth by viticulturist Mark Walpole, and crafted by Adrien Rodda, this wine is a brisk and vibrant Verdicchio. It highlights varietals characters of bright, fresh green pear and lime juice like acidity, combined with toasted almond savouriness and a little bit of grip and chew, making it a great wine to pair with food.

Fighting Gully Road Sangiovese 2022

Incorporating a small portion of Colorino, and old Tuscan variety traditionally used in the production of Chianti, this wine was created to capture the essence of that style. The wine was made for immediate enjoyment, but like Chianti Classico, can be aged for a number of years to create greater complexity. Fighting Gully Road Pinot Noir 2022

Fighting Gully Road is a Beechworth staple that we here at the Cellars are big fans of. Their commitment to their site is undeniable, and it shows in the wines. The Pinot leans a little Burgundian, exhibiting earthy depth over overt fruit character, with firm tannin structure and bold acidity that takes us out of Beechworth and straight into Pommard. While it's drinking very well now, it will also benefit from time in the cellar.
