Valdesil Montenovo Godello 2022
Fashioned from the Estate's younger vineyards spread across the slate-ridden Valdeorran villages of Rubiá, A Rúa, Larouco, Petín and O Bolo, this lays down a seriously impressive marker. Each soil type or plot is vinified independently and malo is suppressed. The result is a crystalline, pulpy and racy wine with a chalky, almost Chablis-like tangy personality and invigorating notes of nectarine, white flowers and straw. A lovely cleansing finish with a twist of crushed tarragon. A superb example of Godello.

Gutierrez Colosia Amontillado 18% 375ml
"This is the entry-level Amontillado from Bodegas Gutierrez Colosia, located right by the sea in El Puerto de Santa Maria. It starts its life as a Fino and after three years it moves to an oxidative phase which lasts another five years. At the time of bottling, it is around 8-9 years old."

Cillar de Silos Joven Tempranillo 2021
Tobacco and anise add complexity to earthy dark cherry - pure Ribera del Duero fruit with a brambly boysenberry and cassis lift. Mineral and savoury, masculine but in no way big, there’s only mid-level glycerol and fine, long, very mature tannins. A wonderful wine.

Serra i Barceló Aucalà Garnatxa Blanca 2021
Winemaker Josep Serra grows Garnatxa Blanca from several plots around the village of Gandesa, in the locale known as Aucalà. The landscape here is dominated by Mediterranean pine. 2013 is the first Aucalà release. Prior to commencing with his own wine, Josep for 10 years was the winemakerconsultant to Editaria, perhaps the region's best wine until the advent of Aucalà, which considerably exceeds it.

César Márquez 'Parajes del Bierzo' Mencia 2021
César farms his vineyards organically, with indigenous yeasts. The vines are all over 100 years old. He uses minimal new oak in the winery and whole bunches to varied extents with the Mencia. As is often the case in the area, the vineyards are co-planted with Alicante Bouschet and up to 12 other native grape varieties. Envinate, which literally translates as "wine yourself," is the project of four passionate young winemakers: Roberto Santana, Jose Martinez, Laura Ramos and Alfonso Torrente. Ponce 'Reto' Albilla 2022
Reto is produced from the almost extinct white varietal Albilla, which is not related to the more common Spanish Albillo. As of 2014, Ponce was the only producer using this varietal, which produces something surprisingly similar to Chenin Blanc with notes of apple and fresh hay.
