The Mosel turns it on
May 10, 2008 – 5:50 pm by CameronSo first stop on the itinery is the Mosel. The weather has been unseasonably good, and we have beed treated to 3 great visits.
1st was Dr loosen, with a tour of all his vineyards and tasting of many of the 2007´s, which I will say is shaping up to be a terrific vintage.
This was followed by a visit to 2 of the regions greats - Egon Muller in Saar, and then back to Wehlen in the Mosel for a visit to JJ Prum. Hard to say which was the greater, but needless to say they were all very impressive wines. What I can say is keep an eye out for the 2007 JJ Prum Graacher Himmelreich Auslese (in about a year) which was amazing (amongst many other great wines).
Next stop, Beaune.
